4901-1 - Hooker Headers Competition Headers Chevy/GM Car is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fit great I have installed headers on just about every square body I've owned. This set of headers was probably the best fitting so far, the passengers side was no issues at all and the drivers side had a small clearance issue with the engine mount. I needed to remove 3/8" metal from the corner and the A/C pump mount bracket needed some trimming.

Will these headers clear the crossmember on a 1976 firebird with a pontiac 400 engine?

It will clear the crossmember, but may require spacer on the mounts for proper fit.

Do these headdmers interfere with the oil filter on a 1976 firebird with a pontiac 400 engine. Can the oil filter be removed normally?

    Asked by: 1572
This header may need a slight modification of the oil filter or a remote oil filter mount in order to fit properly.
