    Service Parts

    Specifications:

    Manufacturer's Part Number:
    40610

These JEGS Pro Series Distributors for small block or big block Chevy and Ford applications feature an internal HP electronic ignition module that's ready to run (external ignition box not required) and delivers twice the voltage to the spark plugs. SSR Pro Series Distributors have: premium maroon caps with brass terminals for use with male cap (or HEI style) spark plug wires, Hall effect triggers (integrated circuits with no moving parts to wear out), polished billet aluminum housings, and a performance advance curve with additional springs to customize the curve. The upper ball bearing and extra long oil-impregnated bronze lower bearing work together to reduce friction and provide stable timing.

    Installation Notes:

    • A 40,000 volt 1.5 ohm coil is suggested for best results: 555-40100 or 555-40105 (sold separately)
    • These distributors do not require an external ignition box yet can be used to trigger most multi-spark CD ignition boxes if desired

JEGS EZ Kits are designed by JEGS professionals to ensure that you get all the correct parts you need.

Whats the best way to test these modules?

    Asked by: BC302
When you turn the distributor over you should see a spark from the coil as long as the wiring in correct. Refer to the instruction tab on the distributor page.
