    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally! Something that works! Remember gas cans before the government saved all us dummies from spilling stuff all over ourselves? They filled quickly and emptied nearly as fast with just a few leaks and te occasional spill? Then we got the government-approved cans. And I have spilt more gas with those, by two orders of magnitude, than ever before. I’ve had spouts explode mid-pour, spouts completely fall off, and gasoline geyser out the top at the pump. Modern gas cans are absolute garbage, the perfect example of a product designed by government committee. This item can’t solve those problems because it isn’t DOT or EPA approved. But if it was, I would spill an awfully lot less gas The 3 gallon capacity works great for me. Two gallons is too few, but 5 gallons is too heavy for me to adequately control while pouring. Actual capacity is about 3 1/2 gallons, so you have the extra capacity for pre-mixing whatever floats your boat. Handles on top and bottom are very well positioned. The cap on this thing is awesome! It’s massive! So you can fill it full speed without spraying fluid everywhere. It comes tapped with a standard 3/4” pipe thread so you can build your own spout if you wish. The O-ring seal on mine isn’t perfect. It seeps, but a lot less than anything else I’ve ever used. The vent location near the cap has been criticized, but actually it’s not a problem if you simply control the pour, raising the bottom of the jug slowly and just enough to keep fluid flowing. The accompanying spout offered by JEGS works great. It’s just a couple of PVC fittings on either end of some clear plastic tubing. You could easily replicate it with parts from the hardware store, but you’d probably pay as much or more. Still, it’s nice to know you can replace bits rather than having to buy a replacement spout for some minor issue. I love this thing!
