Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good buy... Needed a simple affordable shifter and this was perfect. Install was easy and it fit several applications including 4 speed overdrives. Cheaper than B&M Z-gate and it operates the same. It is my daily driver and I really like it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not too happy Well I got my shifter and started with the install. Everything about the shifter was good except when I went to connect the cable.. I have a 700r4 which is why I bought the shifter because it works with 4 speeds. Anyway when I attached the cable there was not enough length to allow the lever to go into 1st gear. I called tci and they told me to move to cable bracket to the inside of the shifter even though the instructions say to install on the outside and there are no notes saying to do this for 4 speeds. Anyway I did what they said and it was still short. Anyway I had to put 2 washers behind the bracket moving the cable forward almost 1/4 inch for it to function properly. I called tci again and they basically said that's how you fix it. So after this long story my opinion is that for a very well known company like TCI to have a product that requires some ghetto enginunity in order to work properly is not acceptable to me... there a many ways to correct the problem without shoving a bunch of washers to bring it forward....a cable with more travel or a custom fabricated spacer with a longer bolt. Anyway it's a very minor issue but it just didn't quite reach the bar tci products tend to set.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Absolutely bad Terrible shifter. Everything about it sucks.. the looks, the cover, the gates, the cable, the mount, the front cable routing... everything about this shifter sucks. Don't buy twice like I had to, just buy the Winters Sidewinder right off the bat.
