    PS4272CT is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best We have found. Like the Big Block we purchased for my Race Car we bought our 427 Small Block direct from Blueprint since we needed a couple of up grades to their standard pro series engine. We went with higher compression forged pistons and a couple of other minor up grades to the basic long block pkg. Which by the way you can also do through Jegs....and to save time and money hind sight we should have done but we were going to visit family near the plant anyway so no big deal. We bought this to install in our 72 Rally Nova old school 4 speed street/strip car that we have been restoring. I have the original Special Order 350 that was originally ordered in this Rally Nova but since they are getting so hard to find and we have all the documented paperwork to verify this top of the heap small block was special ordered for this car from GM and the Engine is in pristine condition with less than 20,000 total miles on it we couldn't risk hurting it or its Muncie M-22 transmission so we worked out this Drive Train with the new 427 small block and a cast iron case custom built for us by Liberty Gears Borg Warner old school super t-10 with the proper parts to hold and handle over 500lbs of torque. We put a single plane intake and 850 Holley HP Race style carb that I built from scratch and the other needed parts and I have to tell you this is the most dependable great running small block that has well over 500 horses that I have ever had the pleasure to own and drive. In the hot of summer its never ran hot or been finicky to start or run....just keep good 91 octane pump gas in it and its like being 16 all over again....the wife and I have can not remember having this much fun just driving this car....the Hydraulic Roller cam behaves very nicely but still let's everyone around you know.....this is no ordinary street car....of course the 12 bolt rear end and 32" under the fender rear tires kind of give it away too. You just can not buy any better or reasonable good chevrolet power than from Jegs/Blueprint Pro Series Engines....and with a great warranty to boot.....find anybody who can match what these guys do.....go ahead and try.....we did and there just aint nobody who can or who will.

Hello and thank you in advance for answering my question as quickly as possible. Can I purchase this exact engine as a short block without the heads and the cam? I already have everything I need to build this as a short block, I just want a 427 blueprint

    Asked by: Kelly
Thank you for your submission! This engine is only offered as is, unfortunately we are unable to offer our engine as a short-block.

Will this engine fit a 1969 SS396 CHEVELLE?

    Asked by: Elcamino 1970
Hello James. Thank you for contacting BluePrint Engines, I would be more than happy to assist you. You may have to make some modifications to make the BP4272CTCTC1 work with your 1969 Chevy Chevelle SS. To the extent of modifications, you may have to make, we would not know due to not building any vehicles.

What Intake would this Pro Series 427 Part # 138-PS4272CT take, Also does this engine come w a Balancer, & What Flexplate does the Engine take?

    Asked by: New York
When we run this engine here on the dyno we will use an Edelbrock 2925 intake with a 850cfm Holley. Yes when this engine ships it will have a harmonic balancer already installed. The crank on this engine is internally balanced so the flexplate that will be required is internally balanced for a small block Chevy.
