Thrust Bearings & Wear Plates
Ford, 351, 351 Cleveland, 400, 351 Modified, 400 Modified, Ford F100, Mach 1, Mustang
Eliminate wear at the front of your Ford 351C and 429-460 with our moly-coated roller thrust bearing. Our unique design is .142" thick and aids in setting the proper cam thrust clearance while eliminating gear to block wear.
Specifications:
Because all roller cam lobes are ground flat instead of tapered like a hydraulic or solid cam, it is necessary to provide some means of holding the cam back to the rear of the engine. The thrust button rides between the front of the timing gear and the back of the front cover, and can be shimmed for proper end play in the cam. Both solid nylon button and roller thrust bearing styles are availble. Wear plates eliminate the wear at the front of the block and are moly coated.
