Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for tight spaces I bought this to replace valves in a Mercedes head. A conventional valve spring compressor would not fit in the small space the springs are in. But this tool does the job very well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile and effective Well worth the money. I used fasteners from the vehicle itself rather than the ones supplied with the kit, but I imagine they’re fine if you don’t over torque them and use the appropriate length fasteners. The pivot pin didn’t have anything to hold it in, so it would try to fall out when you laid the tool down—could be avoided with a detent pin or lynch pin, but if you have the ability to work on your vehicle competently you should have the ability to make this tool work for you.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Worst hardware ever! I bought this and went to use it. And the hardware it comes with is awful actually broke a bolt off in the head of my motor. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is that the tool itself actually isn't bad craftsmanship. Except the holes are drilled evenly so the pin wouldn't go all the way through to secure it. But other than the hard ware the tool was functional. Overall not worth 55 dollars

Rated 1 out of 5 by from J.U.N.K. 30+ years experience If you are using old springs that are weak, this will do fine....on the other hand, most of us do these kids of things for upgrades.. Such is the case with my Audi A3 2.0 TSI and the supertech spring kit I am trying to install. It works really well to get 1 keeper in each valve. For the second keeper, I will have to try to find someone to help me do a job that is usually done on my own.....
