Items You Need
Universal
The JEGS 631233 universal power brake conversion kit features a firewall-mounted hanging pedal assembly. To fit into the tightest spots, this kit uses a 7 in. single diaphragm booster that mounts to an adjustable pedal assembly. The assembly features six pedal pivot-point holes that range from 7 in. to 13 in. from the firewall. Depending on which pivot point you use, the remaining bracket material can be trimmed away. For the hydraulic, this kit uses a 1 in. dual-bore master cylinder that is designed for a front disc and rear drum brake setup.
When building your car keep in mind that braking performance needs to be kept in relation to engine performance. Don't let insufficient brakes put you into a dangerous situation.
Note: This conversion kit can be used as a manual brake application. The brake booster does not have to be used. The pedal assembly features three sets of mounting holes, with the middle set for the master cylinder. The necessary bolts, lock washers, and nuts are included.
