Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor features The gauge reads Pounds per square inch (PSI) not Pounds of force. The gauge needle has sluggish movement and doesn't return to 0 every time. Suggest you find a better source for the gauge and use correct nomenclature on the dial face.

What's the piston diameter? And is it safe to assume the fluid won't freeze? (Would be using this to check bee hive weight in the winter) Thanks!

    Asked by: SloPro48
The piston is approximately 1.7" in diameter. The gauge is filled with glycerin so it won't freeze at any normal temperature down to 40 degrees below zero.
