Rated 5 out of 5 by from Seems Solidly built purchased this because my stock 125 amp alternator was not keeping up while plowing snow. This alternator made all the difference in the world, along with the recommended heavy duty battery cable replacement..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome output Just installed this yesterday in my 07 Avalanche LTZ and it’s incredible! My voltage gauge used to be around 12-12.5 running. Now she is going up to 14.5! Well worth the money. And you can still use the stock serpentine belt. Just make sure to follow the instructions and use a 2 gauge wire to handle the extra amps! Plus I had called Powermaster because I had a few questions because this was my first time installing an alternator. Their tech dept is friendly and knowledgeable! A+++++++! Don’t waste your money on any other brand!

At what rpm do you get the 245 amps. And what do you get at 2000 idle rpm?

    Asked by: Dane
Powermaster has relayed the following info on the 713-48550 alternator. Alternators amperage’s are based on alternator shaft speed, this would us to require the pulley ratio of the vehicle. All of our alternators are dyno and the POP is showing the alternator shaft speed. At ladle is considered 2400 rpm of alternator shaft speed, this unit will make 195 amps. To get the 245 amps, the alternator shaft speed is 7000 rpm.
