Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks Great does not fit so Great I felt the need to post a review on this balancer. First, this has nothing to do with the various sellers. It has everything to do with the manufacturer. The reason i am doing this review is because the manufacturer did a poor job with the application of this part in their catalog and following specs on making the part. Unfortunately many sellers are simply using the information in the Professional Products catalog which is incorrect when listing the vehicles that this part fits. So, i have done some research using the Dorman balancer application guide. According to Dorman, the balancer on the cars is not the same as a truck. They make two balancers for the 03-10 Hemi engines. One fits the 05-10 Charger, 300, Magnum, and Grand Cherokee. The other balancer fits the 03-08 Ram Truck, Durango and Aspen. So, they are not all the same as stated by Professional Products. The Ram balancer has the drive belt much further out away from the block than what is used in a car. So, this balancer will not fit a truck or Durango. If you use this balancer on a truck or Durango, the belt alignment will be WAY OFF. It will fit the cars and Grand Cherokee....sort of... This brings me to the second issue. I have a 2006 Charger that i am building an engine for. I found that my factory balancer had a small crack in it and had to replace it. I purchased the Professional Products 90014 balancer and installed it...or attempted to... Thank goodness that the engine is on a stand and i just happened to be watching the gap between the timing cover and the balancer as it was slowly sliding into place. As it was getting close to being installed i found that the small metal seal protector/shield on the new balancer was contacting the seal and the balancer was not fully seated onto the crank. The belt alignment was off. Everything had to stop to prevent the seal from being damaged. I had to take the balancer back off. FYI it takes 3 5/16-24 fine thread bolts to thread into the new balancer. these bolts are not included in most harmonic balancer puller kits. I found bolts at ACE hardware that have the correct pitch thread. After closely looking at my factory balancer and the Professional products balancer i found the that the dust shield is about an 1/8 of an inch or so thicker that the oem shield. I removed the shield from both balancers and tried to swap them. The taper on the hub is slightly different and they will not interchange. I reinstalled the Professional Products unit without the dust shield and it fit exactly right. The balancer did not contact the timing cover seal, the belt alignment is correct and the balancer is fully seated to the end of the crank. So, after everything is said and done, the balancer is on the engine and the belt is lined up properly. If i had not noticed the shield contacting the seal it would have destroyed the seal in the timing cover within just a few minutes of the engine running. In closing, this balancer will not fit a truck or Durango. It will fit the cars and Grand Cherokee with the small metal seal shield removed. Also, for what it's worth, Professional Products no longer makes this balancer. It has been discontinued. Probably for the issues above.
