Rated 5 out of 5 by from Installed and fired and learned on the first try I wanted to write a review, I had absolutely no problems, install was a breeze if you have electrical experience you won’t have any problems. If I had to do it again I would keep my mechanical pump and then run the high pressure sump in the engine compartment. This is the easiest way as you can run fuel line and return line to the sump and not the tank. Research your choices, I did a single plane, the Holley ignition stuff so the efi can have more control. It works perfectly

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Affordable EFI - Could be better One would think the Holley Sniper is a perfect upgrade to a carburetor. It maybe depending on what your expectations are. I received 2 defective units that would never sync up to the ECU and my final 3rd Sniper finally did work. My experience with the Holley Sniper - PROS - Fairly simple straight forward installation and decent instruction manual. - Setup includes just about everything needed to get it up and working. - Solid build quality and appearance. CONS - Unit is noisy. During operation it emits a rather noticeable loud clacking / clicking racket. Apparently this is the injectors and or regulator. Unfortunately I could still hear it inside the car. - Before starting the car you must wait 2.5 seconds for the pump to prime the Sniper in the ON position. Then you can turn the key to RUN. If you don't do this the car won't start and then it usually floods which takes awhile to recover. The 2.5 sec wait may sound like a short time but actually it seems like forever. If you are used to jumping in and starting right up you will not like this inconvenience. - 2 fuel lines and pump. If you are upgrading to an EFI system you already know you need a send and return line as well as a higher output pump. Beware of your pump selection. I went with an intank Walbro pump and it was obnoxiously loud. Combine that with the clicking Sniper and it was unbearable. CONCLUSION As I stated before depending on your expectations the Holley Sniper may work for your situation. Performance wise throttle response was a bit sharper but overall the Sniper did not run any better than a well tuned carburetor. For me it was a disappointment and letdown in what I thought I was getting. I was used to my quiet running carburetor and inline electric pump. The Holley Sniper was too noisy and inconvenient for me. Add the ridiculously loud pump to the mix and it was a deal breaker. I went back to my carburetor and couldn't be happier. Others maybe be able to overlook these issues with the Sniper as well as find a quieter pump to work with it. Hopefully this review will give an informed decision before attempting the EFI upgrade.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Holley Garbage! Right out of the box this unit didn’t work properly! Could not get unit to idle down to 800rpm. Finally when I got it to idle properly I drove my car 5 miles and while sitting at a stoplight the idle would jump to 1100rpm. Called Holley tech at least 6 times and even they were perplexed and couldn’t figure out the problem. I asked for another sniper unit and they refused. I eventually gave up and removed the sniper and installed a carburetor. Engine is now a happy camper. $1,000 dollars out the window! Thanks Holley! Bottom line? Technology is not as good as one would think. It’s great when it works but when it breaks down it is a total pain to troubleshoot and fix!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ecu problems Ecu would never connect. Kept saying searching for Ecu. Sent it back two times to Holley and they said there is nothing wrong with the unit. All connects were solid and wires tested a positive connection on my end. This turned into a three month ordeal with no luck. I am done with Holley. I will try the msd atomic next.

I want to run a regulator near the tank instead of a fuel return line from the throttle body. Can you plug the return on this unit and not use the internal regulator?

    Asked by: Rizzu
The Holley 510-550-510 tbi must be used with its existing regulator.

My engine will be sitting at 620hp with no power adders. Can I add nitrous (250 shot) on to this system? Is the system compatible with "stacked power"?

    Asked by: Big Gun Performance
This should work in your application. The additional power is coming from the nitrous so you don't need to flow more air to make power.
