    Hooker Headers took a trusted and reliable header design for one of the most popular platforms out there and decided to rethink, revise and revamp it with modern features and fitment that we, todays gearheads, expect! This headers long tube design and geometry provides exceptional fit and maximum ground clearance, which is why Hooker chose to use a ''slip-fit'' collector rather than a much larger diameter ''bolt-on'' flanged collector. Also, going with a slip-style collector allows the exhaust to be tucked closer to the floor pan for ground clearance in critical spots between the wheelbase. The flanges are 3/8'' thick, laser cut and TIG welded for maximum strength and a leak free seal. Each collector has an O2 bung welded in place for compatibility for EFI systems or air/fuel ratio meters, plugs also included. These headers are designed to fit so well and tight that the engine must be in the factory location using any of the OE matched engine frame stand/mount assemblies; not for use with mixed frame stand/mount assemblies (i.e. low performance mounts on high performance frame stands). Please ensure engine mounts and frame stands are correctly matched and are in good condition or fitments issues may occur. These headers are also designed for bolt-in installation capability with Hooker's Header Back Stainless Steel Exhaust System with Mufflers.
