Any half way competent mechanic can install these with excellent results

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from May need some minor mods to fit. I bough this set for my 89 gmc k1500 shortbed, they fit but it was tight. The right hand side (bank 2) rides right up against the firewall, theres a piece of tin i pounded in with a hammer on the firewall to make it fit better. Now the left hand side you have the fuel lines that sit on a bracket you have to bend out of the way for the header to fit by, which is concerning to me having the fuel lines inches away from the header. I would re route them, i personally havent done this yet but i will eventually route them a different way. Also on bank 1 the header pushes up against the trans shift linkage. End result is a set of full length headers at a very affordable price. They may fit funny but its worth it. i also purchased the hooker comp header back dual exhaust kit thats made for these headers. Im running cherry bombs with no cats, and the sound... One of a kind. A beautiful symphony. I dont like chambered mufflers. To me they make a v8 sound like a gm v6. Get these /Cherry Bomb 87046CB/.

    Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don’t buy If you want plug and play headers don’t purchase these. I cannot stress to you how much push back these headers give you if you plan on installing them yourself. Everything I did required some sort of thinking on my toes as to how I will gain clearance here or there. Not to mention that i had to re sculpt the shape of one header to clear the vehicles actual frame. Highly suggest you go to a professional to install these or go for some higher quality ones.
