After I do an oil change with a new oil filter. I put 5 quarts of oil in the engine (351 Windsor). I check the measuring stick and I'm over the full line. Is that normal? Am I supposed to drain oil from both oil plugs or just the rear plug?

    Asked by: Rock
Ford performance 397-M-6675-A58 your supposed to drain oil from both plugs, after changing the oil and filter and adding your five quarts. start the motor for around 30seconds to allow the oil to prime and now fill the empty filter then check your oil it will probably be spot on. the filter is generally half a quart
