    Blaster HVC Coils

    The Blaster HVC is designed for high rpm, long duration applications such as road course and circle track racing using an MSD 6-Series Ignition.

    Coil Specs:
  • Turns ratio: 100:1
  • Primary resistance: .02 OHMs
  • Secondary resistance: 1.38K OHMs
  • Inductance: 7 mH
  • Maximum voltage: 42,000 Volts (Tested with 6AL Ignition)
  • Peak current: 300 mA
  • Spark duration: 200 uS

    Features:
  • Designed for high rpm, long duration applications
  • Works with electronic ignitions and MSD Ignition Controls (ballast resistor required for points systems)
  • 100:1 turns ratio and lower primary resistance produce high voltage output
  • Windings are encased in blue epoxy and secured with extruded brackets
  • Spark plug style terminal and threaded brass primary studs
  • Supplied with rubber shock mounts

  • MSD HVC and HVC II Ignition Coils are high voltage/high current performance coils that are designed to run extremely cool with efficient windings that combine high voltage and current for reduced electricity transfer loss, resulting in maximum voltage and energy. These coils are available in your choice of the following styles:

    Blaster HVC Coil: For use with high rpm, long-duration applications using an MSD 6-Series Ignition.

    Blaster HVC II Coil: Iron U-Core design produces incredible voltage with lightning quick rise time. For use with MSD 6-Series Ignition Controls.

    MSD 6 HVC Coil: For professional racing applications using an MSD 6 HVC Ignition.

    Pro Power HVC Coil: For racing applications using an MSD 7 or 8-Series Ignition Control.

    Pro Power HVC II Coil: Iron U-Core design produces incredible voltage with lightning quick rise time. For use with MSD 7 or 8-Series Ignition Controls.
