JEGS 555-630640 Mopar Rear Disc Brake Conversion Kit Notes:
- Rotor hat 3.190 in. I.D. [inside diameter], (Some axle shafts hub flange may require machining to the correct OD [outside diameter] to fit inside these rotors.)
How To Measure Rear Axle Hub Flange & Register Dimensions
- This kit Requires a disc/disc proportioning valve. We recommend JEGS 555-63025 adjustable proportioning valve, sold separately.
- We recommend a 1.125 in. large bore master cylinder when adding disc brakes.
- The installation of disc brakes will require the use of 15 in. wheels.
- This brake conversion kit will not work with 14 in. wheels.
- Due to the wide variety of vehicles that the 8 3/4 in. rear end is used in, there is no single-length e-brake cable solution that will work universally with this kit. I have a 2002 dakota with a 6 lug I haven't found a conversion for it yet will this kit work with a 6 lug rear end?
1982 Dodge 18 passenger van with the 360ci engine and 8 lug wheels. Will this kit work on the rear axel and how do I tell which axel that is?
I have almost no wiggle room between the frame rails and the body. Does this conversion change the width of the rear at all?
Are the brake calipers, rotors and pads included in the kit replaceable at any local parts store?
