Breaker Points/Non-CD Ignition Coils
JEGS 40100 Chrome High-Energy Ignition Coil is a performance upgrade designed for use with breaker point (1.5 ohm resistance) or standard non-CD (Capacity Discharge) electronic ignition systems and is capable of producing up to 45,000 volts of power.
Note: Will not work with aftermarket CD (Capacity Discharge) electronic ignition systems similar to MSD that requires an external control box.

Hotter Spark for More Performance
JEGS High-Energy Ignition Coils are a perfect choice for improving your ignition systems performance and they are manufactured with special windings to improve spark output. Each coil is oil filled for durability and cooling that outperforms OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) factory units by over 30 percent (capable of up to 45,000 volts), plus the black alkyd tower helps prevent flashover and misfire.
We offer two types of high-voltage, 12-volt coils as follows:
- Breaker point ignition/standard electronic non-CD (Capacitor Discharge) ignition: Primarily used as a performance upgrade over a factory coil and can also be used with our SSR-III ready-to-run distributors.
- CD electronic ignition: Used as a performance upgrade in conjunction with an aftermarket distributor like our SSR-II units that require an external control box.
Can this be mounted on it's side and Is it compatible with a Dodge ECU?
