Rated 3 out of 5 by from More infromation Installed this last night on my 69 small block Mustang. The directions are terrible and not specific to a ford application. Figured out that i had to mount it with the solenoid facing down due to the mounting hole offset. No wiring instructions. Had to run a cable from + terminal on battery to starter solenoid. had to remove old cable from starter side of fender mount solenoid and replace it with a 12awg wire to the small solenoid coil screw on starter. After figuring all that out starter worked fine just wish Jegs would put the correct instructions in the box. Also had to reclock starter to clear my headers. Not a bad product just bad inatructions.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Would advise against this "starter". Didn't start anything for me. 1984 351w and couldn't get it to engage with stock flywheel. Will spin all day long but thats it. Read through the generic instructions but no luck. Forums/Facebook groups pointed to re routing the solenoid wires but that didn't do anything either. Called customer service to be on hold for over 1 hour then told "get under the car and see what's wrong". About the only thing it did correct is bolt up. Junk.
