  • Edelbrock 60989 Details

    E-TEC 200 Aluminum Cylinder Heads

    This Cylinder Head features a fully polished exterior finish for show stopping looks! Edelbrock E-Tec heads are replacements for 302, 327, 350 & 400 c.i.d. S/B Chevy engines with ''Vortec-style'' manifolds. They feature an LT1-style raised runner intake port design for increased air-flow and ultimate performance. A unique combustion chamber design positions the spark plug closer to the center of the cylinder, promoting a more efficient combustion resulting in more power. These heads include an adjustable rocker stud and guide plate set-up for use with adjustable rockers or washers to properly position the stud height to accommodate factory style self-aligning rocker arms. They have over 35% more exhaust flow than cast iron Vortec heads. These heads outflow other aluminum heads of a similar design by 10% on the intake and 17% on the exhaust, making power up to 6500 rpm. The 64cc chambers produce 10.2:1 compression with flat-top pistons in 350 cubic-inch engines. RPM E-Tec heads are dual-drilled and will accept 1987-95 centerbolt and/or 1986 & prior perimeter flange mount valve covers and most stock exhaust manifolds.

    Installation Note: To use stock rockers on S/B Chevy heads, .100'' longer than stock pushrods are required. S/B Chevy heads may not be used on engines with less than 4" bore (262, 265, 283, 305, 307 c.i.d.) except with cams having less than .450'' valve lift. Requires hardened pushrods. Recommend Edelbrock 350-9629 for flat tappet cams only

    Tech Tip: To gain more spark plug clearance, Edelbrock recommends using Champion RC Series plugs such as the RC12YC. They are 0.230'' shorter than a conventional spark plug and have a 5/8'' hex for easier access.

    Engineered to greatly increase performance and efficiency, E-TEC heads fit Small Block Chevy 302-400ci engines with ''Vortec'' style intake manifolds. These powerful heads incorporate Edelbrock's high-quench combustion chamber which promotes a more uniform atomization of the air/fuel mixture for more power. Spark plugs have been positioned closer to the center of the cylinder for more efficient combustion. Swirl-polished stainless steel valves provide maximum flow. They accept center bolt or standard valve covers, work with most stock exhaust manifolds and have intake and exhaust ports that are .200'' taller than typical Small Block Chevy heads. Match these heads with an Edelbrock Vortec intake manifold for the best results.

    E-Tec heads are dual-drilled and will accept 1987-95 centerbolt and/or 1986 & prior perimeter flange mount valve covers and most stock exhaust manifolds.
