Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent starter , highly reccomend it. I bought this starter after going thru two pmgr starters that both failed under heat loads. The infiniclock feature worked flawlessly since my 460 has long tube super comps on it . Took it for a long drive and the heat soak problem is now gone. Problem solved.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cranks over a hot big block O.E. starter would not crank over this big block when hot and the powermaster cranks the same hot or cold no problem.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from XS vs Powermax Purchsed the XS about a month back to replace the Powermax on which the bendix had failed. In a 14.25 compression Big Block Ford, and a 16V system, the Powermax spun the engine fine cold. Hot, it was a little sluggish, understandably being rating at10.1 CR. Surprisingly, the XS actually doesn't seem to perform any better when there is heat in the engine and is rated at 18.1 CR. The clocking option for mounting has proven to be great function, and necessary, with large headers. Overall, a decent value.
